Top award for Mia
WOORNDOO Mortlake netballer Mia Richie has been named Mininera League’s top 17 and under player for season 2022.
WOORNDOO Mortlake netballer Mia Richie has been named Mininera League’s top 17 and under player for season 2022.
Mia was presented with her award at the league’s annual vote count and presentation night, held in Lismore last Monday week.
Receiving her award, Mia thanked her team-mates and coach Sarah Cameron.
“It’s been a great season and we’re excited to be playing in the grand final,” she said.
Fellow team-mate Elise Killen was also recognised for a great season, named one of three runners-up in the count.
Young Tiger Ava Wardlaw finished joint runner-up in the 15 and under vote count.
Woorndoo Mortlake’s 17 and under side will take on Penshurst in this Saturday’s grand final at Glenthompson.
The game will start at 12.00pm.
