WOORNDOO Mortlake is set to meet Tatyoon in a clash of the titans likely to determine this season’s Mininera and District league minor premier.

The Tigers and Hawks both remain undefeated after 10 games of play with the league’s 12 clubs to have finally played each other once after this weekend.

The Tigers warmed up for the contest with a comfortable 116 point win over Moyston Willaura last weekend.

Six unanswered goals in the opening term opened up a comfortable advantage for the Tigers, with the side never headed in the final three quarters.

The Pumas managed to kick two goals in the third term, but Woorndoo Mortlake finished the match strongly with another seven unanswered majors.

Jesse Horan finished with eight goals in the 19.16 (130) to 2.2 (14) victory, while Keilan Bamford was best afield.

Tyson Hogan (three goals) also performed well, while Jack Clifford, Will Paulin and Sam Gervasoni rounded out the best players.

The reserves side recorded its eighth win of the season as it downed the Pumas 21.12 (138) to 5.9 (39).

Peter Harris (six goals) and Brody Mifsud (four) were both lively up forward in the victory, while Will Kosch was the Tigers best.

The side sits in third position with a win this weekend likely to secure a double chance.

Meanwhile, the A grade netball side continued its unbeaten run with a 65-28 victory.

A 20-4 opening term laid the foundations for the Tigers 10th win of the year, with their lead increasing as the game wore on.

Defender Kate Jubb was best on court in the victory, while shooter Sarah Cameron shot a team-high 46 goals.

The victory leaves the Tigers four points clear of Glenthompson Dunkeld ahead of its clash with fourth-placed Tatyoon this weekend.

In the other Mininera and District games this weekend, Great Western hosts Lismore Derrinallum, Penshurst welcomes Moyston Willaura, Caramut faces Hawkesdale Macarthur, Wickliffe-Lake Bolac takes on Glenthompson Dunkeld and SMW Rovers clash with Ararat Eagles.
