Tornadoes back on the winners list
The Tornadoes felt the sting of their first loss last month during a road trip to Mount Gambier when the Lakers recorded a thumping 101 to 59 victory over Terang.
The Tornadoes followed the loss with a bye week but returned in round five over the weekend with back-to-back wins which solidified the squad at the tip of the Country Basketball League ladder.
On Friday the Tornadoes welcomed Portland to the Terang and District Indoor Sport and Recreation Centre, recording a cruising 71-53 victory.
Corey Jones led the scoring with 17 while Jake Bartlett added 12.
The following day saw the squad hit the road to take on the Millicent Magic Men, with the Tornadoes cruising to a 37-point victory, 58-95.
Jake Bartlett led the way with a 20-point performance while James Hookway added 17, Tyler Vickers dropped 15 and Griffen McLoud made an impact with 14.
This weekend the Tornadoes will be on their last bye before the road to the finals begins.
