Tough day for Tigers
IT was a tough day out for Simpson’s senior footballers last Saturday, with a 79-point loss to Colac Imperials, 16.16.112 to 5.3.33.
Jamie Barry was the Tigers only multiple goal scorer in the match at the Western Oval with two majors.
Brad Salmon, Tom Leishman and Ryleigh McVilly were best for Simpson.
Imperials were also dominant in the reserves, scoring a 18.14.122 to 2.5.17 win.
The Tigers best were Jordan Riches, Ashley Royal and Jack Balcombe.
In the under 18s, it was a big win to the Imperials, 26.10.166 to Simpson’s no score.
Brodie Hanks, Xander Weel and Lucas Woolstencroft were best for the Tigers.
Colac Imperials took out the under 15 football with a 12.6.78 to 2.0.12 win.
Ben Vogels, Jed Spokes and Tyler Love the best for the under 15 Tigers.
Imperials were too strong in the under 12s as well, winning 8.8.56 to no score.
Colac Imperials were too strong in the A grade netball, recording a 66-37 win in Simpson coach Emily Duynhoven’s 150th senior game for the club.
Paige Salmon, Shelby Cameron and Chloe Woods were best for the A grade Tigers, with Eliza Duynhoven scoring 28 goals.
Colac Imperials won the B grade netball 48-30.
Ella Arndell, Claudia Richardson and Melissa Drayton were best for Simpson, Brianna Gass scoring 16 goals with Drayton scoring 12.
The C grade netball saw a 43-36 win to Imperials.
Kara Tyrer, Kayla Hallyburton and Rachael Duynhoven were named best for the C grade Tigers; Hallyburton shooting 22 goals and Duynhoven 14.
In D grade, the Imperials took out the match 32-15.
Sharni Ward scored eight goals and was best for the D grade Tigers alongside Leesa Seabrook and Brianna Ferrari.
Imperials won the 17 and under netball 57-30.
Esha Crole, Amelia Daniels and Gabby Montano the Tigers best, Kaylee Jansen scoring 16 goals and Crole 12.
Simpson had a win in the 15 and under game, 44-40.
Kustom Robertson was best on court and top scored with 30 goals, with Halle Barake and Milah Crole also in the best for the Tigers.
The 13 and under match saw a 61-9 win to Colac Imperials.
Alexis Barake, Imogen McVilly and Nyha Ford were best for the under 13 Tigers.
