Last Saturday proved another tough one at the crease when they took on Heytesbury Storm at the Lakes Recreation Reserve.

Storm won the toss and elected to bat first, putting on an impressive 6/216 in their 50 overs.

Middle-order batsman Travis Brown finished the day unbeaten on 53 from 48 deliveries while opener Hamish Huffadine also struck well, making 39 from 57 balls before being caught by Shane Stephens off the bowling of Jye McLaughlin.

In reply, Camperdown was restricted to 10/183 in the 44th over.

James O’Neil was best with the bat, contributing 62 from 102 deliveries (which included six boundaries) while opener Jye McLaughlin added 34.

The Lakers will face fourth-placed Cobden this weekend before rounding out the season on February 22 with a match against top-side Bookaar.
