WOORNDOO’S struggles in division one cricket continued last weekend when they faced fellow cellar-dweller Noorat.
Last Saturday’s clash at the Noorat Recreation Reserve saw the bottom-placed Tigers, sitting 12 points behind Noorat, struggle at the crease.
Despite a quick 32 off 26 balls from coach Tyler Schafer (which included five boundaries) and an unbeaten knock of 35 from tail-ender Grant Cameron (with three sixes and two fours), the Tigers went down by 127 runs.
Finishing their innings on 127, Woorndoo found it hard to contain the home side who went on to record 8/254.
Lachlan Jubb was the best of the bowlers for the Tigers with 4/43 off eight.
Division three had a better day out last weekend, bringing home the points with a 56-run victory over Pomborneit.
Finishing the day on 3/145, openers William Brain and Damian Clifford both added 39 apiece to the scoreboard while best of the bowlers were Clifford with 2/11 off five, Greg Parry 2/7 off two and Hunter Lynch 2/19 off five.
