Tough time for Mortlake bowlers
MORTLAKE bowlers had a tough time in the heat as well as on the rink last Saturday for round 11 of weekend pennant.
Weekend Pennant returned last Saturday and here are the results for round 11:
Mortlake Blue (div. 1) lost to City 2 Gold 69-52 (away).
D Grant drew with P Symmons 18 all; C Goldsworthy lost to M Fleming 15-25; L Johnson lost to G Ritchie 19-26.
Mortlake White (div. 2) lost to City 3 White 45-77 (away).
C Baxter lost to G Davey 16-17; J Rasmussen lost to A Bourke 16-34; P Delaney lost to K Bell 13-26.
Mortlake Gold (div. 4) lost to Warrnambool 6 Orange 30-42 (home).
D Robertson lost to L McCosh 16-20; M Heard lost to G Gibson 14-22.

This Tuesday saw Midweek Pennant Round 12 being played and here are the results:
Mortlake Blue (div. 1) lost to Koroit 1 Saints 48-61 (away).
L Johnson defeated M Funcke 23-15; D McNicoll lost to D Gordon 12-24; C Goldsworthy lost to P Ellis 13-22.
Mortlake Purple (div. 4) defeated Warrnambool 2 Red 46-22 (away).
G MacDonald lost to A Kelly 14-15; D Robertson defeated Ken Johnson 32-7.

Mortlake Blue (div. 1) have the bye this week.
Mortlake Purple (div. 4) at home to Koroit 3 Saints.

Over 60’s Social Pennant played this Tuesday and here are the results for round 12:
Mortlake Blue defeated Camperdown 45-28 (home).
P Delaney defeated G Chamberlain 27-14; F Robertson defeated T Hose 18-14.
Mortlake White lost to Terang 27-32 (home).
F Robertson lost to N Uebergang 13-14.
Both Mortlake teams remain in the four at this stage of the season.
