Town to open up for garage sale
BARGAIN hunters are being encouraged to visit Darlington next weekend for the town-wide garage sale.
Residents will join in with their private garage sales at their homes, with wares including secondhand toys, tools, bric-a-brac, clothing and more.
Organiser Ange McQuade said there will also be a number of stalls set up in the carpark of the Elephant Bridge Hotel for the day.
“We just hope it will be a good day,” she said.
“We’re trying to get some people to our small community.
“The CFA (Country Fire Authority) will have a barbecue breakfast, and all proceeds from the barbecue will go to the local CFA as well.
“We’re really hoping people will just join in and make the day great.
“We hope we sell some sausages at the sausage sizzle and make some money for the local CFA.”
Stalls will open from 8am on Saturday, March 29, with live music at the Elephant Bridge Hotel from 9am.
