Truck fire under investigation

THE circumstances which led to a truck catching fire in Caramut this week will be investigated.

A Country Fire Authority (CFA) spokesperson said the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning, drew a widespread response.

“Five CFA units responded to reports of a fire on Caramut-Chatsworth Road in Caramut at around 7.26am, the CFA spokesperson said.

“Units responded from Mount Rouse, Penshurst, Caramut, and Burn Brae.

“Crews discovered a truck on fire.

“Victoria Police were called to the scene.

“The incident was deemed under control at 7.48am and safe at 8.31am.”
