Turning blue for mental health
SIMPSON’S senior footballers had a 76-point loss to South Colac on Saturday, going down 17.11.113 to 5.7.37 at the Elliminyt Recreation Reserve.

The match was the annual mental health round game between the two clubs, with both wearing alternate playing strips.
Normalising the conversation around mental health, sharing stories and supporting each other was the theme of the day.
Simpson led by four points at quarter time after winning the toss and kicking with the wind, but the advantage finished there; South Colac kicking 16 goals to the Tigers’ three in the final three terms.
A depleted Simpson side, missing key forwards Nick and Aaron Harding, had five individual goal scorers for the match.
Ruckman Rhys Jansen van beek was best for the Tigers alongside Brodie Foster, Tanner Fratantaro and Ollie Rial.
Next week sees seventh placed Simpson host third placed Lorne at the Simpson Recreation Reserve.
South Colac was dominant in the reserves, scoring a 13.16.94 to 0.3.3 win.
Best for the Tigers were Luke Hutton, David Weel and Bailey Neal.
South Colac scored a 13.12.90 to 5.3.33 win in the under 18s.
Taj Cunningham, Louis Janssen and Ryan Mottram were best for the Tigers, with Mottram also kicking two goals.
The undefeated South Colac under 15 team scored a 17.23.125 to 0.0.0 win.
Ben Vogels, Archer Crole and Lucas Woolstencroft were best for the under 15 Tigers.
South Colac was too strong in the under 12s as well, winning 10.11.71 to 2.2.14.
Ravi Mason and Chase McCallum scored a goal each for the under 12 Tigers.
Simpson scored a vital 53-39 win over fifth placed South Colac in the A grade netball, the Tigers now out of the top five on percentage only.
Shelby Cameron, Eliza Duynhoven and Sophie Taylor were best for the A grade Tigers, with Eliza Duynhoven scoring 37 goals and Emily Duynhoven 16.
South Colac won the B grade netball 56-27.
Claudia Richardson, Melissa Drayton and Carol Arndell were best for Simpson, Brianna Gass scoring 16 goals with Drayton scoring 10.
The C grade netball saw a 46-34 win to Simpson.
Captain Rachael Duynhoven, Kara Tyrer and Hayley Weel were named best for the C grade Tigers, Kayla Hallyburton shooting 23 goals and Duynhoven 20.
Simpson took out the D grade match 35-24.
Brianna Ferrari scored 22 goals and was best for the D grade Tigers alongside Leesa Seabrook and Shayla Daniels.
South Colac won the 17 and under netball 43-13.
Olivia Rhode, Shayla Daniels and Esha Crole were the Tigers best, with Crole scoring eight goals.
Simpson had a win in the 15 and under game, 37-23.
Keisha McVilly, Kustom Robertson and Tyra Sambell were best for the Tigers, Robertson scoring a match high 27 goals.
The 13 and under match saw Simpson have a thrilling come from behind win, 25-24.
Mia Arndell, Nyha Ford and Ayla Crole were best for the under 13 Tigers, Arndell scoring an equal match high 17 goals.
