U3A celebrates Christmas
UNIVERSITY of the Third Age (U3A) Corangamite members gathered to celebrate the end of the year recently.

U3A Corangamite spokesperson Gary Kimber said 50 members enjoyed a Christmas lunch at the Cobden Golf Club.
“Our singing group performed wonderfully for us and many prizes were given out in what created lots of fun,” he said.
“Over the year we’ve had a monthly lunch in cafes and restaurants all over the shire and fellowship has been a real highlight.
“Thanks to Bistro On Neylon and Cobden Golf Club for their excellent hospitality.”
After a rest over the Christmas and New Year period, the group will resume activities in 2025 in late January.
“The 2025 year will kick off with a welcome back and AGM on Friday, January 24 in the Cobden Senior Citizens at 1.30pm,” Mr Kimber said.
“Rustic Tarts will provide an afternoon tea.
“Membership is just $20.”
