U3A talks overseas trips
CORANGAMITE University of the Third Age (U3A) members enjoyed hearing about the overseas trips of member Fred Wheaton.
CORANGAMITE University of the Third Age (U3A) members enjoyed hearing about the overseas trips of member Fred Wheaton.
U3A member Gary Kimber said Mr Weaton gave a presentation at the group’s monthly Travel Tales session.
“He spoke about many of the amazing National Parks in the USA and Canada,” he said.
“His pictures were spectacular and Fred entertained us with lots of little tales aboutthe trip."
“Our next session will be on June 24 with Kevin Murray, Wing Commander (retired), talking about two of his Air Force deployments to the Middle East and Timor Leste.
“Kevin also is one of the group’s members.”
Mr Kimber said U3A holds its Travel Tales sessions on the fourth Friday of each month at the Cobden Senior Citizens’ Centre.
