In a one-day match at Woorndoo last Saturday, the Dragons lost the toss and were sent to the field.

Despite a supportive home crowd, the Tigers failed to impress on the scoreboard thanks to some impressive work by the Dragons with the ball.

Stuart Timms gave the Tigers plenty of trouble, finishing the day with figures of 5/23 from his 10 overs while team-mate Jamie Dewell took 4/25 from 6.4.

Harry Carter was also effective with the ball, taking 1/18 from five overs.

Woorndoo’s batsmen had a tough day at the crease, finishing at 10/89 in the 28th over.

In reply, the Dragons’ opener, vice-captain Jamie Dewell, smashed through the afternoon and finished the day unbeaten on 54 from 75 deliveries.

His innings included six boundaries.

Dewell was well supported by team-mate Stuart Timms who reached 18 off 37 balls before being bowled out by the Tigers’ Andrew Jehu.

The Dragons reached 4/90 after 23 overs to clench victory.

Because of the split draw in round 10, Ecklin’s division one side will have this weekend off before facing the Cobden Knights on Saturday, February 1.
