Under 16 Tigers win first game back
DERRINALLUM’S cricketers have had a quiet start to 2026, with round 12 Grenville Cricket Association matches abandoned on January 10 and the Tigers having a bye last Saturday.
The senior competition has this long weekend off, with the Tigers next game on January 31 against Linton.
In the under 16 competition, Derrinallum had a 32 run win over Rokewood at Derrinallum on January 10.
Batting first, the junior Tigers made 6/85.
Top scorers were Fletcher Greig with 24, Eddie Gellie with 15 and Charlie Turner with 11.
In reply Rokewood were restricted to 8/53 from their 25 overs.
Eddie Gellie took 2/5 from five overs, Neave Thompson 2/6 from four overs and Fletcher Greig 2/11 from five, with Patrick Greig and Alexander Cronly taking a wicket each.
The next game for the under 16 Tigers is also on January 31, with Derrinallum’s under 12 team resuming on February 6.
