ROUND one of the Warrnambool District League was a tough one for Power, with its under 18 side the only victors for the day.

Travelling to Merrivale on Saturday, Kolora Noorat’s seniors found the going tough and managed just three majors for the day to finish 48 points behind – 3.3.21 to the home side’s 10.9.69.

Stephen O’Connor, Trent Glennen, Jacan Brooks, Sam Uwland, Fred Beasley and Benjamin Moloney were the best for Power while Beasley, Joel Dillon and Justin Wallace managed one goal apiece.

In the reserves, the side could manage just four points while Merrivale booted home 9.8.62.

Best for the Power were Henry Fowler, Jake Sinnott, Mark Clissold, FionnNeeson, Mitchell Wyss and Paul McSween.

The Power’s under 18 side proved the highlight of the day.

The reigning premiers enjoyed a massive 203-point win over Merrivale, booting 30.23.203 while keeping the home side scoreless.

The Power finished season 2022 second on the ladder behind Russell Creek – who they defeated in the grand final by 61 points.

Like their senior football counterparts, Kolora Noorat’s netballers also went home winless on the weekend, going down to Merrivale in all grades.

A grade lost 65-43, A reserve 59-23 and B grade 40-21.

In the junior matches, Kolora Noorat was defeated 48-10 in the 17 and unders, 39-5 in the 15s and 13-7 in the 13s.

Kolora Noorat will now enjoy a break over this Easter long weekend before preparing to meet South Rovers at the Noorat Recreation Reserve next weekend.
