Uniting Church set for annual fete

THE Timboon Uniting Church will have a little something for everyone at its Annual Fete this Saturday.

The annual fete will be held from 10am this weekend, which Timboon Uniting Church Council assistant secretary Brenda Parfett hopes will build upon the success of last year.

“We will have a huge produce stall with fresh fruit and vegetables, in addition to homemade cakes and slices,” she said.

“There will be fresh rhubarb, silverbeet, apples, tomatoes, jams and preserves and even local honey.

“We’ll have a plant stall with succulents and cottage garden plants, a book stall with many books for sale and a trash and treasure stall, which always proves to be a very popular, fun stall.”

A grocery hamper will also be up for grabs through a raffle drawn on the day, in addition to some incredible displays from local artisans.

“We have Heather Hill and her beautiful sewing and an Australian Native Plant stall featuring many plants to suit our conditions,” Mrs Parfett said.

“There will be lovely leather work of belts, whips, and purses in addition to a jewellery stall with locally made earrings, rings and bangles.

“A local artist will have papier-mâché ornaments, and there will be lucky door prizes and a competition.

“Bring a friend and enjoy a Devonshire Tea.

“We hope to see you there.”
