Strong performance: V/Line has exceeded its performance targets for a third consecutive month.

In May, the Warrnambool Line recorded 99.4 per cent reliability, exceeding the 96 per cent monthly reliability target.

Only two of the 310 services scheduled to operate on the Warrnambool Line for the month cancelled, which were due to a train fault.

During May, 92.1 per cent of services arrived at their destination on time, exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target.

The result marks the third consecutive month and fourth time in 2025 the Warrnambool Line has reached both the punctuality and reliability targets.

“The Warrnambool Line has exceeded reliability and punctuality targets for the third consecutive month, making it one of the top performing lines on the network in May,” a V/Line spokesperson said.

“Almost 50,000 passenger trips were taken on Warrnambool Line trains in May, as passengers took advantage of cheaper fares and extra weekend services to visit family and friends and attend major events.”

Warrnambool Line passengers now have five daily return services across weekdays and on the weekend following the introduction of extra weekend services in April.

Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and make a reservation in advance by booking online, at a staffed V/Line or premium Metro station, by calling 1800 800 007 or by visiting a retail ticket agent.
