V/LINE has again surpassed its monthly performance targets on the Warrnambool line.

In August, the Warrnambool Line recorded 99.7 per cent reliability.

This result exceeded the 96 per cent monthly reliability target.

It was also the line’s best result since April this year.

The punctuality target was also exceeded for August, with 94.8 per cent of services arriving at their destination on time, exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target. 

It’s the sixth consecutive month – and seventh time in 2025 – the Warrnambool Line has reached both the punctuality and reliability monthly targets. 

“The Warrnambool Line has again exceeded monthly reliability and punctuality targets in August, making it the sixth consecutive month the line has achieved this result,” a V/Line spokesperson said.

“There were more than 47,000 passenger trips taken on the Warrnambool Line in August, as communities across the south west continue to take advantage of the five daily return services.”

Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and make a reservation in advance by booking online, at a staffed V/Line station, by calling 1800 800 007 or by visiting a retail ticket agent.
