Venns win Frank Crimmin Memorial

FATHER and son Colin and Lachlan Venn combined to take home the Frank Crimmin Memorial at Terang Golf Course last Saturday.

The prestigious club fixture was contested by a large field in a 4BBB stableford event.

Colin and Lachlan accrued an impressive total of 49 points to win the event ahead of runners-up Jason Black and Brendan Clarke on 45 points.

Balls down the line went to Michael Sargeant and Stephen Arundell (44 points), Phil and Leo Beasley (44), Nigel and Hamish Bruckner (44) and Danny and Linda Kenna (44).

Nearest the pins were recorded by Nigel Bruckner (third hole), Leo Beasley (sixth hole), Anthony Mills (eighth hole) and Trevor Beasley (11th hole).

This week’s competition will be a stableford event.
