Victory for Carmody
TWENTY-one players competed in a stableford event at the Terang Golf Club last Thursday.
A grade was won by Judy Carmody with an excellent score of 40 points, followed by runner-up Peter Hrabar with 37 points.
B grade went to Jane Heffernan on 38 points, with Karen Mathew runner-up on 35.
Balls down the line: Elaine Hrabar 34, Marion Venn 33, Maureen Bond 33, Heather Holmes 33 on a countback from Billy Wood and Cate Glennon.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Judy Carmody, 11th Linda Kenna and 18th from off the green, Aileen Clarke.
The nine-hole competition winner was Linda Kenna with 14 points.
Next week’s competition will be the start of championships, monthly medal stroke and putting and a nine-hole competition.
