POLICE have appealed for residents and businesses in Cobden to check CCTV after a distinctive Holden was stolen.

Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) senior constable Lachie Barling said an olive green Holden statesman was stolen from a Curdie Street address in the early evening of Saturday, October 27.

“The offenders have broken into a shed on Curdie Street and stolen a distinctive 1971 Holden Statesman,” he said.

“It looks like it’s been towed as the vehicle couldn’t be started.

“The scene has been processed by Warrnambool CIU.”

Snr Const Barling called on business owners and residents in Cobden with street facing CCTV to check their footage to assist with the investigation.

People with information about the theft were asked to contact Warrnambool CIU on 5560 1333 or CrimeStoppers Victoria on 1800 333 000.
