COBDEN’S Visitor Information Centre has had a change of location.

Officially opening last week, a barbecue was held last Tuesday to launch the new location in the centre of Cobden.

Centre co-ordinator Juli Dwyer said the change of venue to the Cobden Business Network Hub in Curdie Street was proving popular.

“It went really well,” she said.

“We’ve had lots and lots of positive feedback."

“We’ve even gained two new volunteers just by being in the main street."

“At this stage it’s all looking really positive.”

Mrs Dwyer said having additional volunteers would allow the centre, which provides support for visitors as well as offering local handmade products, to open more days.

“Up until the end of the month, it will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 3pm,” she said.

“July and August it will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 11am and 2pm."

“There may be some Saturday’s as well.”

Mrs Dwyer said the centre was now stocking a new line from Shafali which includes handbags and Indian jewellery.

She said there were more new additions to the range coming as well.
