Walker wins stableford

WITH a score of 36 points, J Walker won the stableford event at Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.

The runner-up on 31 points was A Giles.

Nearest the pin on the 4th hole was J Walker while D. Absalom was nearest on the 7th and C. Sargeant on the 10th.

This week will be stableford.

Ten players enjoyed a par three and three clubs (with putter competition) at the club last week.

The winner on Wednesday was Laurel Davis with 43 points, followed by Ulbe Twynstra on 41.

Nearest the pins: A grade – 4th and 10th Sherine Healey; gents – 4th Ulbe Twynstra, 10th Dave Stewart; 7th Janine Stevens, gents Dave Stewart.

Balls down the line (all on 37) went to Ev Boyd, Carmel Darcy and Jeannine White.
