Wareham wins medal

LAST Saturday’s stroke (monthly medal) competition at the Mortlake Golf Club was won by Wes Wareham.

Wareham finished on 19-91-62 to win the competition ahead of runner-up Aaron Davies 26-9-68 on countback.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Tony McLennan, 6/15 Scott Palmer and 9/18 Peter Palmer.

Balls down the line went to Tony McLennan, Dougal Ranken, Andy Lamont, Hamish Weatherly and Steve Hubbard.

Last Friday’s nine-hole twilight was won by Peter West 20-51-31 followed by David Hubbard 25-57-32.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Peter West.

This week’s events include the annual tournament – Friday, February 13 women’s 4BBB, Saturday (February 14) men’s 18 hole stroke and Sunday (February 15) three-person ambrose.
