Warm conditions at state titles

FIVE athletes from the Camperdown Little Athletics Centre have performed well at last weekend’s state track and field competition.

Despite almost 40 degree heat, all athletes went out and gave their best, coming home with many personal best performances.

Congratulations to the following athletes:

Under 11: Millie Bourke – high jump 1.15m (15th).

Under 12: Zoe Unwin – javelin 10.36m (23rd).

Under 14: Maya Smith – 400m 70.22 (19th), 1500m 5.46.53 (14th); Charlie Unwin – 800m 2.49.75 (14th), 1500m 5.43.98 (20th).

Under 16: Riley Beames – 800m 2.14.06 (6th), 1500m 4.39.95 (7thy), 300m hurdles 45.70 (7th).

Camperdown Little Athletics Centre will hold its annual meeting and presentations on Friday, March 28 from 5pm.
