Warm conditions for final night
WARM conditions greeted around 80 Camperdown Little Athletics Centre athletes for the final night of competition last Friday.
The night of family fun and fitness included athletes dressing in their favourite pyjamas, or favourite colour, for a gold coin donation towards the centre’s annual Royal Children’s Hospital appeal fundraiser.
The night raised $70 towards the appeal and anyone wishing to add to this can donate through the link of the athletics centre’s Facebook page.
A request for a 400 metre parent/athlete race at the end of the night provided loads of laughs.
Congratulations to Riley Beams, Maya Smith, Athena Chivell, Pippa Kempton, Millie Bourke, Charlie Unwin and Zoe Unwin who have all progressed to the state track and field event.
This will be held at Casey Field on March 8 and 9.
A reminder that the end of year presentation night and AGM will be held on March 28 from 5pm. All welcome.
