Warm conditions for riders
THE sun was shining and the air was hot for race 14 of the summer season for Camperdown Cycling Club members.

There was an amazing show of club sportsmanship last Thursday, January 30 after one of the junior riders had a bingle on the course.
An increasing number of riders in the junior and senior divisions is making for a great competition, edging closer to the end of the summer series.
It was Lily who took the win on Thursday night with the winning time of 17.08.
Lily continues to shave time off her race under the guidance of Tom.
Second place getter was Finny with a time of 16.33 and third place was Zane with the time of 10.16.
Other riders included Quinn 10.16, Josh 0859 with fastest time for the week, Oliver 09.05, Lawson 12.46, Rieley 12.34, Izzy 14.52, Finn 09.40, Noah 13.25, and Ava 10.02.
Henry was a Did Not Finish (DNF) after his bingle.
Nathaniel (DNF) showed fantastic support by staying with Henry.
A fantastic thank you to our back car driver Andrew, all our senior riders who continued to support all riders from start to finish, to Amy who stood in and took on the time keeping role (first time ever) when riders were crossing the line, and to all families who were very patient while we ran over time due to injury.
Thanks to Finn for reporting on our senior race this week.
Another action-packed race took place on Thursday, with Colac's Shaun Thompson claiming first place and fastest time with a time of 24:52.
Five seconds behind him was Oliver Clark. Todd Baxter managed to cross the line in third, followed by Josh Thompson in fourth.
The colossal Zane Vogels rounded out the top five and Matt Gstrein was awarded the wooden spoon.
It was Rachael Piper's first race and Ava Cunningham's second race in the seniors and the conditions were ideal for a race.
Other participants were Finn Baxter, Tanya McKenzie and Matt Clark (who was left in the dust by his son Oliver).
