Warm weather for golf
CAMPERDOWN golfers enjoyed some warm weather when they took to the greens for stableford on Wednesday.
Gabby Gill (22) had an excellent round to win with 41 points.
Keeping it in the family, Gayle Gill (32) was runner-up with 39 points.
Balls down the line went to Vicki Fitzgerald, Doreen Horan, Jenny Hillman and Terri Sinnott.
All of the nearest the pins were claimed.
Doreen Horan was closest on the second and 16th (second shot), Gabby Gill was closest on the 9th (second shot), Chris Farmer on the 15th and Maree Finlay on the 17th.
Next week will be a stableford round with secret partners.
Camperdown’s division two women’s pennant team defeated Cobden 3-2 at Peterborough on Monday.
Tracey Baker won 4-3, Gabby Gil won 4-3, Jenny Hillman won 7-5, Deb Narik was defeated 7-5 and Ruth Skene was defeated 3-2.
Next Monday Camperdown will meet Peterborough at Warrnambool – 9.30am for a 10am start.
