Warm welcome for new chair
NEW Cobdenhealth general manager Helen Paris is looking forward to the future of the facility.

NEW Cobdenhealth general manager Helen Paris is looking forward to the future of the facility.
Starting in the role in early June she is adjusting well to the new role and enjoying meeting the wider community.
Ms Paris brings more than 20 years as a registered nurse to the role as well as five years at Warrnambool’s Mercy Place.
She said the community had been very welcoming.
“It’s lovely; it’s an amazing community. It’s incredibly friendly and supportive,” MsParis said.
“The one thing I’ve noticed is how genuine and nice people are."
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the residents and the staff and meeting as many people as I can and opening up communication channels.”
She said like most work places, Cobdenhealth was facing staffing challenges.
“Staff have been amazing,” Ms Paris said.
“The amount of staff doing extra shifts or double shifts is just incredible."
“It’s a lovely place to work.”
Ms Paris said she was excited about Cobdenhealths board’s strategic plans for the long-term redevelopment of the facility.
“It’s quite a big project to expand and rebuild following a small house model,” she said.
“We will be also implementing a lot of technology that will support the staff including sensors and other equipment that saves time."
“I’m really looking forward to hopefully getting some funds for the development and looking at innovative ways to supportour staff.”
Ms Paris put out a call for volunteers who would like to help out at Cobdenhealth to get in contact.
“We would love to see volunteers coming in and supporting us,” she said.
“If anyone is here for more than two hours, we will provide a hot meal.”
