Wet conditions deter golfers
THE wet and cold conditions saw just nine members contest a stableford event at the Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
The day’s winner was Aidan Mansbridge with 44 points, followed by Neil Gowland with 39 and Geoff Norton 35.
Nearest the pins: 5th Neil Gowland, 7th Barry Cook, 14th Mick Plozza.
Neil Gowland won a ball for his second shot to the 11th while Bill and Heather Finlayson’s eagles nest was emptied by Neil Gowland with an eagle on the par four, 11th hole.
Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Ben Finlayson with 28 points, from Ivan Barlow with 25.
Nearest the pin was Todd Brunt.
Next Saturday will be 4BBB stableford.
Twelve players participated in a stableford event last Wednesday.
The winner with 33 points on a countback from Chris Harkness was Judy Walsh.
A ball down the line went to Judith Wallace with 32 points.
Nearest the pins: 5th Chris Harkness, 14th (second shot) Sophie Bowker.
The Nutrien ball was won by Suzanne Wallace.
