Wetter, but not better

FEBRUARY saw more rainfall in Camperdown, Derrinallum and Lismore than the previous year, but rainfall remained below average across the region.

Camperdown saw 10.5mm of rainfall for the month, which is more than the 0.5mm recorded in February 2024.

The figure, however, falls below the long-term monthly average of 34.9mm for February.

The highest daily rainfall for Camperdown was recorded on February 17, with 6mm hitting the ground.

To date, Camperdown has recorded 28.5mm of rainfall for 2025.

Meanwhile, Derrinallum has experienced 16.2mm of rainfall across the month of February.

The figure is significantly higher than the previous year’s total of 1mm but falls below the February average of 33.7mm.

Derrinallum’s highest daily rainfall was 9mm, which was recorded on February 4.

Currently, Derrinallum’s total rainfall for 2025 sits at 31.8mm.

Lismore also saw a high rainfall for February, with 29mm recorded over the month.

While the figure is still below the long-term monthly average of 35.1mm, it is significantly higher than the previous year’s total of just 0.6mm.

February 4 saw Lismore’s highest daily rainfall recorded for the month, with 19.8mm falling in the 24-hour period.

Lismore’s total rainfall for 2025 currently sits at 47.6mm.
