Wild weather lashes state

WILD weather lashed much of the state late last week, bringing with it widespread flooding.

WILD weather lashed much of the state late last week, bringing with itwidespread flooding.

While the south of Corangamite Shire was not as heavily impacted as some areas, it was not unscathed.

On October 13 and 14 a whopping 81mm of rain fell over Cobden and surrounds in48 hours.

The heavy rainfall led to multiple road closures across Cobden, Timboon, South Ecklin and Tesbury areas.

Local SES volunteers were called to a number of incidents across the area, including helping out at Skipton which sawsignificant flooding.

Heavy rain is again predicted over the coming week.
