Windy conditions for bowlers
LAST Saturday was a wild and woolly day on the bowling greens and the results reflected as much for Mortlake bowlers in weekend pennant round two.

Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) lost to Warrnambool 1 Gold 39-58 (away).
D Grant lost to P O’Donnell 11-23, L Johnson def. B Cornick 16-13 and G Draffen lost to M Bowles 12-22.
Mortlake 2 White (div. 2) lost to City 3 White (home).
P Delaney lost to K Bell 9-18, R Draffen lost to G Davey 2-27 and J Rasmussen lost to A Bourke 14-17.
Mortlake 3 Gold (div. 4) played Warrnambool 6 Orange but the match was abandoned before enough ends were played to constitute a match, so points are shared.

Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) def. Timboon 1 Demons 80-40 (home).
G Draffen def. B Mungean 36-5, C Goldsworthy drew P Rowe 21 all and L Johnson def. A Finch 23-14.
Mortlake 2 Purple (div. 4) lost to Warrnambool 4 Red (home).
L O’Shannessy def. K Johnson 20-16 and G MacDonald lost to A Kelly 7-32.

Last Tuesday saw round two of Over 60’s social pennant but no results were available in time for publication.
Congratulations to Dawn Hadfield who played her first Over 60’s social pennant match.
Last Sunday after the wild weather, the women’s and men’s 100 Up finals were played in the afternoon.
Congratulations to the champions, Gertie MacDonald and John Tanner.
Well done to Wilma McDonald and Anthony Wood for making the finals.
