The teams travelled from as far as Drysdale and Robe for the event, with a full day of bowls played.

A large group of spectators enjoyed watching the action and by the end of the program only two teams remained undefeated – with another two three-game winners.

In third place with three wins +13 shots were the Dennington/Timboon team of Mark Savage, Sue Creed, Phil Dowdell and Polly Rabl.

The runners-up with four wins +22 shots was the hybrid team of City/Mortlake/Dunkeld comprising Casey Sheehan, Bryan Sheehan, Darren Grant and Stephen Field.

Last Wednesday was the final of the 2025 autumn twilight bowls season.

During the twilight season, 14 teams of three battled it out for top honours.

Two teams rose to the occasion.

They were Woodpeckers (Ann Johnson, Anthony Wood and Elise Parker-Wood) and Cathcarts (Paul Delaney, Wayne Wester and Gary Dickinson).

The final started relatively even for the first half before the Woodpeckers broke away despite the best efforts from the Cathcarts team.

Congratulations to the 2025 autumn twilight bowls winners, Woodpeckers, and well done to Cathcarts for reaching the finals.

Keep an eye out in October for the 2025 summer twilight bowls season.
