Works to resume in spring
WORKS have paused on the Princes Highway in Camperdown after preliminary asphalting and line-marking was completed recently.

Crews have now left the site, with further works expected to begin later this year during warmer and drier weather conditions.
Speed reduction signs remain in place for the site near the Bowen Street and Old Timboon Road intersections, with a rough surface on both sides of the 450 metre strip.
Department of Transport and Planning Barwon South West and Grampians executive director Michael Bailey said the department will keep the community updated as the project progresses.
“We’ve completed initial rehabilitation works on the Princes Highway in Camperdown, including preliminary asphalting and line-marking,” he said.
“We will keep the community updated as we progress with this project.”
Western District Newspapers understands the project is part of the 2025-2025 road maintenance program, which saw a total investment of $964 million into maintaining Victoria’s road network.
A works program was put together for the 2025-2026 financial year, with the Victorian Budget allocating $976 million towards a Better Roads Blitz.
Western District Newspapers understands the blitz was expected to fix potholes and upgrade road surfaces across Victoria’s 23,000 arterial road network.
