Works underway in Terang
CORANGAMITE Shire Council has continued its works program, with two long-awaited upgrades now nearing completion.
Among the ongoing works is resurfacing efforts on the High Street Service Road in Terang.
Corangamite Shire Council manager assets planning John Kelly said works would continue over the coming weeks.
“Rehabilitation work has commenced on Burkes Road from Thomson Street to Wilson Street in Terang,” he said.
“The first part of this is the replacement of the kerb and channel on both sides of the road which is underway.

“Replacement of the underlying pavement and resurfacing of the road will follow.”
In addition, works have also begun to improve Pontings Road, connecting Noorat East and Glenormiston South.
“In the coming weeks slurry sealing works are proposed on Pontings Road between Mackinnons Bridge Road and Glenormiston Road to improve the rideability on certain sections of the road,” Mr Kelly said.
“In preparation for this some culvert replacement works have occurred which required a road closure.”
