DERRINALLUM P-12 College staff and students are banding together for a good cause.

School principal Caitlyn Fitzgerald said the School Representative Council (SRC) is organising a fundraiser for the last day of term next Friday.

She said the school community had decided to raise money for the World’s Greatest Shave.

Ms Fitzgerald said if the fundraising hits $5000 she will shave her hair.

“I think the tally is at about $500 at the moment,” she said.

“We’ve got three teachers who are dyeing their hair and a number of students who are colouring their hair."

“Our senior school captain Audrey will be cutting her hair and donating it.”

Ms Fitgerald praised the efforts of the students.

“I’m very proud and impressed with their efforts and philanthropic work,” she said.

The fundraiser will be held at the school at about 2pm on Friday, June 24.
