Cats too strong for Power
KOLORA-NOORAT’S senior footballers suffered a third consecutive loss, going down to Allansford in round 13 last weekend.

The home team, after an even first quarter, dominated to run out 80-point winners.
Giant Allansford forward Robbie Hare bagged 11 goals in Allansford’s 20.16.136 to 8.8.56 win.
“It’s been a tough run playing the top three in the past three games,” Power coach Sam Uwland said.
“But it’s a good learning curve playing against the best teams and seeing how they go about it.”
Under 18 player William Kenna, a product of the Power’s junior ranks since under 12s, made his senior debut.
“William played on the wing and a bit up forward.
“He’s fast, knows how to find space and took a really good contested mark on Saturday.”
Fred Beasley was the Power’s best in the loss.
“Fred did well coming back from a groin injury, his workload has been light on,” Uwland said.
“He looked back to normal on Saturday with the way he was able to break away from packs.”
Keilan Webster Bamford and Max Kavenagh were also in the Power’s best.
“Max has been really good and was strong with his pressure.
“Keilan set up well, played that third man up role and is very courageous.”
Paul McSween was the Power’s only multiple goal kicker with two.
The Power’s next assignment after this week’s league bye is a home game against South Rovers on July 19.

“Allansford really did come out firing,” Power coach Lillie Bourke said.
“They’re a great team, despite the score I feel we did our best to take it up to them.”
Goal shooter Courtney Garner scored 30 goals and was best for the Power.
“Courtney was fantastic again, she’s really hitting her straps in her first season with us,” Bourke said.
Molly Bourke and Nellie Sadler were also listed in the best for the Power.
“Molly was great, she showed real leadership skills and played a variety of roles on Saturday,” Bourke said.
“Nellie was fantastic in defence again, she’s having a really solid season for a young player.”
Bourke is looking forward to the break ahead this week, with Kolora sitting seventh on the ladder, equal on points with Timboon (fifth) and Old Collegians (6th).
“We’ve got some important games coming up, we’ll reset after this weekend and hit the rest of the season hard.”
