Costly errors from the Power
KOLORA-Noorat was competitive in its round 15 Warrnambool and District senior football match against second-placed Russells Creek on Saturday, but still went down by 42 points.

Russells Creek ran out 14.18.102 to 9.6.60 winners at the Mack Oval.
“We were certainly competitive and our pressure and tackling was good all day,” Kolora-Noorat coach Shane Scanlon said.
“We had patches where we played really well and moved the footy well, but at times just costly errors that resulted in goals going back the other way was probably the main thing that hurt us.”
Nick Marshall was best for the Power in the loss.
“Nick was one of the ones who used the footy really well, he just linked up well through the backline, hit targets and got a couple of possessions in a row.
“He used the footy well and set us up well from down there.”
Defender Brad Lucas was also in the best for Kolora-Noorat.
“He was probably our only tall defender down there, he’s really hard at it all day, crashes in and hurts, he was awfully sore after the game, I’m hoping he gets up for this week.
“Talking to their coach after the game, they had four or five blokes sore because of his presence too, he only knows one way.”
Jack Lehmann was the most effective forward for the Power, kicking four goals.
“Jack did well, kicked four and probably could have kicked another couple, passed a couple off he could have kicked.
“He makes a fairly big difference to our side, Jack, whether he’s forward or back, it just gives us quality at either end and means that he gives us a bit more flexibility with other players.”
This week the Power hosts Timboon at the Noorat Recreation Reserve.
In the reserves football, Russells Creek had a 13.9.87 to 0.2.2 win.
Mitchell Wyss, Dylan Stone, Jack Pekin, Caleb McLean, Ethan McMaster and Ben Whytcross were best for the Power in the loss.
The under 18.5 game saw Russells Creek record a 10.10.70 to 1.3.9 win.
Patrick Spokes, Kai Tonkin, William Kenna, Damon Anders, Darcy Hutton and Ben Whytcross were Kolora-Noorat’s best, with Spokes kicking the lone goal.
The under 13.5 game saw Russells Creek register a 6.4.40 to 0.0.0 win.
Jack Menz, Crawford Dunn, Riley McIntosh, Charlie Simpson, Braydon Guy and Jaylen Timperley were best for the junior Power.
