A 10 goal to three opening quarter in the Power's favour set the tone for the day in the home team’s 22.18.150 to 6.8.44 win.

“It was a much better performance than what we have been showing the past few weeks,” Power co-coach Sam Uwland said.

“Just a real all round team effort.”

Most pleasing for Uwland was the performance of the five Power under 18s who played in the win in Max Kavenagh, Kai Tonkin, Ben Whytcross, William Kenna and Oscar Ritchie.

“All five of those boys really stood up, played well and gave a good contribution on the scoreboard,” Uwland said.

“The further development they are getting (playing at senior level) is very important for the club and for the boys.”

Having 13 different goal kickers was another huge positive for Uwland.

“It’s always really good to have that spread of goalkickers, it’s how we want to play.”

Uwland was the Power’s main scorer with five goals, and was also named as the team’s best.

“I got lucky with a few, I was just in the right spot at the right time,”Uwland said.

Bradley Lucas, Bailey Kavenagh, Kai Tonkin, Charlie Scanlon and Fred Beasley were the other multiple goal scorers with two each.

Justin Wallace, Joel Dillon and Fred Beasley were also in the best for the Power.

“Justin was strong in the ruck and gave us regular first use of the ball.

“Joel intercepted well and was really good by foot, while Fred is just starting to get back to good form after an injury interrupted year.”

This week Kolora-Noorat travel to Timboon for a must win game against the Demons.

“Timboon are always tough, it’s an important game to keep our finals hopes alive.”

Kolora-Noorat was also too strong in the reserves, scoring a 9.11.65 to 4.6.30 win.

Jack Carlin, George Beasley and Riley Scanlon were best for the Power, with Riley Scanlon and Josh Brown kicking two goals each.

The under 18 football saw Kolora-Noorat record a 14-point win, 5.9.39 to 3.7.25.

Xavier Riches, Ted Kenna and Taj Podger were best for the Power, with Oscar Ritchie kicking two goals.

South Rovers had a 12.8.80 to 2.10.22 win in the under 15 football.

Eli Chant, Archie Curran and Leo Beasley were the Power’s best, with Lenny Scanlon and Leo Beasley kicking a goal each.

South Rovers was also too strong in the under 13 game, scoring a 16.11.107 to no score win.

Archie Coxon, Nate Lourey and Jack Menz were best for the junior Power team.

Kolora-Noorat had an important 49-42 win in the A grade netball.

Molly Bourke, Matilda Curran and Courtney Garner were best for the Power, with Garner shooting 27 goals and Curran 21.

Power coach Lillie Bourke, who was away for the week, was pleased with the win in her absence.

“From all reports they played very well as a team and played our game the way we want to play,” Bourke said.

“Molly Bourke was best on court, as wing attack she was very influential getting the ball to the goal shooters.”

Bourke also praised Courtney Garner and Nellie Sadler for getting back just in time for the game and putting their hands up to play.

“Courtney had been in Vietnam and Nellie had just walked the Kokoda Track, so a huge effort from those two to play.”

The win keeps the Power level on 20 points with fifth-placed Timboon and sixth-placed Old Collegians, with a massive game ahead this week against Timboon.

“Timboon is always tough, depending on how we get through this week we should have a strong team for the game.”

Kolora-Noorat also had a win in the A reserve game, 28-15.

Jessica Beasley, Eliza Smith and Kaylee Malady were best for Kolora-Noorat, Hayley Collins scored a match high 15 goals with Beasley scoring eight.
