Tough day for Power
IT was a tough day for the Kolora-Noorat senior footballers last Saturday, going down to Allansford 15.15.105 to 6.7.43.

The Power still had cause to celebrate, with Nick Marshall playing his 100th senior game for the club.
“It was a nice little milestone to tick off,” a modest Marshall said.
“The attention was very humbling.”
A junior with Terang Mortlake, Marshall played over 100 games with Melbourne club Fitzroy before joining the Power.
“Fitzroy was a country style, progressive club in the city; Kolora-Noorat is very similar in that regard so it made it easy to fit in here,” Marshall said.
The 2019 season at the Power remains the highlight for Marshall, not just for the premiership win.
“We had so much fun off the field that year too, such a memorable year.”
Marshall lamented the Power’s slow start on Saturday.
“We didn’t adjust to kicking with the wind in the first quarter, it was a very even contest after that,” he said.
Marshall aims to keep playing for a while yet.
“The body is holding up well, moving out to the wing has made things a bit easier,” he said.
Allansford won the reserves comfortably, 9.6.60 to 2.7.19.
Michael Bell and Nathan Wyss and Tyler Friswell were named best for the Power.
It was a 19 point win to Allansford in the under 18s, 9.8.62 to 6.7.43.
Ted Kenna and Damon Anders were best for KoloraNoorat, while Oscar Ritchie and Kai Tonkin both kicked two goals.
Allansford got the points in the under 15s, 10.10.70 to 2.4.16.
Lenny Scanlon and Archie Curran were best for Kolora-Noorat.
A big win to Allansford in the under 13s, 14.11.95 to 1.0.6, Crawford Dunn and Jack Menz best for the Power, with Dunn kicking the teams only goal.
A slow start proved costly for Kolora-Noorat in the A grade netball, losing 34-29.
Allansford got away to a flying start, leading 12-1 at quarter time.
“Allansford just got on a roll in the first quarter and were hard to stop,” Power coach Lillie Bourke said.

“Once we got our game going it was a very even contest.”
Wing attack Kaylee Malady was best for the Power, with recruit Courtney Garner shooting 16 goals.
Bourke was impressed with the performance of her defensive players.
“Our defenders were awesome, they held us together and kept us in the game,” she said.
Bourke emphasised that the Power was keen to get back on the winners list this week against South Rovers.
“It’s important to get a win this week. South Rovers seems to be a much-improved team this year so we won’t be taking them lightly,” she said.
Allansford got the points in the A reserve netball, 31-28.
Courtney Garner shot 16 goals for the Power.
In B grade netball, Allansford won 28-21, with Alexandra Smith scoring 15 goals.
Matilda Curran scored 14 goals in the Power’s 41-22 loss in the 17 and under netball.
Allansford won the 15 and under game 31-21, Zoe Roberts scored 11 goals and Harriot Riches 10.
Kolora-Noorat had a strong win in the under 13 match, 40-12.
Skyla Coburn scored 23 goals for the Power.
